Winters Magic
Wayne Moodie
Wayne Moodie is a self-taught photographer whose main subject matter is the prairie landscape. His work has been inspired by the landscape itself, and by the work of several regional artists, especially that of the late R.G. Pollock of Winnipeg. Many of Wayne’s prairie images have a distinct painting-like quality. They are the product of long hours in the field studying the changing light and colours of this unique Canadian landscape through its different seasons. Wayne's prints of landscape range from the traditional to the abstract.
Wayne was born in Shawville, Quebec, but has spent his adult life in the prairies. He currently resides in Winnipeg.
